Local Student Joel Behrman of Summit Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Joel Behrman, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

He is the son of Vicki Weber and David Behrman of Summit.

Behrman earned a B.S. degree cum laude with honor in theater at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May. In addition, he received the Margaret Ellen Clifford Memorial Prize in Theater, established in honor of a former professor and chair of the theater department at Skidmore and presented annually to an outstanding theater major.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
