Local Student Kathryn Rickman of Princeton Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Kathryn Rickman, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

She is the daughter of Marie and Rodney Rickman of Princeton.

Rickman earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude with honor in theater at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May. In addition, she was one of two students who received support from the Stephanie Mnookin Theater Department Research and Creative Project Fund. The fund supports theater projects, including professional production of a play, a professional internship, attendance at a professional conference or symposium, or work in a theater.

She also earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2013 semester.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
