Local Student Laura Naparstek of Providence Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/01/2013)(readMedia)-- Laura Naparstek, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
She is the daughter of Lisa Bisaccia and Robert Naparstek of Providence.
Naparstek earned a B.A. degree magna cum laude with honor in English at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May. She received the Sally Chapman Thompson '48 Prize in Literature, named in honor of a Skidmore graduate and awarded to a student who has excelled as a critic or scholar during his/her career as an English major.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
