Local Student Rivkah Gevinson of Oak Park Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Rivkah Gevinson, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

She is the daughter of Berit Engen and Steve Gevinson of Oak Park.

Gevinson earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude with honor in art at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May.

During her Skidmore career Gevinson also received a grant from the Jeffrey and Cynthia Treuhaft Fund for Art Technology, which provides technology in support of student opportunities to work with faculty in new and innovative ways in any art form or medium.

She also earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2013 semester.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
