Local Student Sondra Lipshutz of New City Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/01/2013)(readMedia)-- Sondra Lipshutz, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

She is the daughter of Deborah Sussman of New City and Robert Lipshutz.

Lipshutz earned a B.A. degree cum laude at Skidmore's 102st commencement in May. In addition, she was one of two students to receive Environmental Studies Faculty Awards, awarded to outstanding graduating seniors who demonstrate exceptional promise in addressing environmental issues.

She also earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2013 semester.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
