Local Student Tyler Brown of Wakefield Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Tyler Brown, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

He is the son of Mary and Steven Brown of Wakefield.

Brown earned a B.A. degree at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May.

In addition, he received the Mente et Malleo Award, presented annually to a student for excellence in independent research projects in geosciences.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,200 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
