BACKGROUND:
Doug and Pat Arnott, are pleased to bring a new look to the McDonald's in the Watervliet community and to mark the historic spot where a significant slave rescue, led by Harriet Tubman, occurred in 1860.
McDonald's of Watervliet, like all other McDonald's is a family and community oriented business. According to Doug Arnott, "We are looking forward to enhancing the experiences of our customers through the additional services we'll be providing at this restaurant. We, as well as all the McDonald's owners, are committed to being the best employer in every community. And, we believe in giving back to the community we serve."
The historic marked will be unveiled by members of the Underground Railroad and other individuals and organizations involved in the historical event.
