SCHENECTADY, NY (09/17/2009)(readMedia)-- The Middletown Price Chopper, located at 511 Schutt Rd. Ext., has undergone a total facelift. Shoppers will see a new interior look - new flooring, new décor, relocated Pharmacy and Floral dept. and much more. The exterior also has a new and refreshed look.
The store is holding a drive to collect nonperishable food and HBC items through the end of the month. These items will be sent to our troops in Iraq.
As a grand reopening celebration, the store is hosting a House of BBQ fundraiser for the local "Feed the Troops" campaign. Anyone making a $2 donation will receive a Boars Head hot dog, chips and a soda. All donations will help with the expense of shipping boxes of collected items to the troops. The BBQ on Sunday, September 20th will be from 11:30am - 2pm and again at 5pm - 7pm. Local veteran, Mike Cody, will be on hand representing the Veterans Statue Committee and welcoming shoppers to the BBQ.
The store is closing on Saturday, September 19th at 9pm and reopening at 6:30am Sunday.
