NFL Player David Holloway '02 to Take Part in Poster Signing at The Albany Academies on Feb. 8

Arizona Cardinal to appear before boys basketball games beginning at 4 p.m.

ALBANY, NY (02/07/2008)(readMedia)-- David Holloway, a member of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals and 2002 graduate of The Albany Academy, will be selling autographed posters, gloves and balls beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, February 8 before The Albany Academy Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball games at The Albany Academies Field House located at 135 Academy Road in Albany.

Proceeds from Friday's poster signing will benefit Project Linus – a nonprofit organization that makes blankets for children in need.

Holloway was the 2002 winner of the Ernest D. Steck Football Award; 2001-02 All New England (Boston Globe) Football All Star; 2002 Erving F. Albright winner; and played football at the University of Maryland from 2002-2006. In 2007, he was signed by the Arizona Cardinals to play in the NFL.

His father, Brian Holloway, was an NFL All-Pro who played with the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Raiders. His grandfather, Johnny “Pie” McKenzie, played in the NHL for the Boston Bruins.
