NYCRAMA to Hold Mark of Excellence Awards on October 2

Mark of Excellence Winners to Be Announced at Event; George Hearst III Recognized As Marketer of Excellence

ALBANY, NY (09/20/2012)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) announces its upcoming Mark of Excellence Awards (MOE). The 18th annual event will be held on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at the Glen Sanders Mansion. The awards gala is the premier Capital Region marketing event of the year, ideal for networking with local business owners and top marketing staff.

The event's purpose is to recognize highly effective marketing campaigns and initiatives from all-sized companies, agencies, organizations and educational institutions within the Capital Region during 2011.The Mark of Excellence event will award the MOE winners from a list of finalists; one winner in each category of Home-grown Marketing, Mid-Sized Marketing, and Mega Marketing. The list of finalists can be viewed in the MOE section of the NYCRAMA Web site, http://www.nymarketing.org/calendar/moe.cfm.

Associated creative materials for each finalist can be seen here as well, and then all viewers have the opportunity to vote on their favorite campaign. The finalist with the most votes will be named the People's Choice Award winner at the event.

The evening will also include recognition of Mr. George R. Hearst III, Publisher and CEO of the Times Union, as the 2012 Marketer of Excellence. Mr. Hearst has more than three decades of experience in the media and publishing industry. By the recommendation of Mr. Hearst, MOE will honor the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region by highlighting their community involvement and helping raise donations for their efforts.
