ALBANY, NY (06/18/2012)(readMedia)-- Today, the NYS AFL-CIO, which represents 2.5 million union members, their families, and retirees, announced that it has endorsed the reelection of Congressman Charlie Rangel (NY-13).
NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento said, "Throughout his service in the House of Representatives, Congressman Rangel has been the go-to guy for New York's working families. Charlie Rangel has never wavered in his fight to secure crucial federal resources to support the priorities of middle class New Yorkers - education, health care, and job creation."
"I am delighted and deeply honored to have the support of the AFL-CIO. It is truly humbling to have the respect and confidence of such an admirable organization," said Congressman Rangel. "The ongoing efforts of the AFL-CIO on behalf of workers throughout New York State mirror my own relentless aspirations to champion those issues most important to our workforce.
