ROCHESTER, NY (12/23/2011)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College Arts Center is pleased to present the award-winning vocal quintet 42Five on Saturday, January 21, at 8 p.m.

This talented a cappella group brings a wide range of musical styles to life with a fresh approach, beautiful harmonies, a sense of humor, and a unique style. Evolving from a street corner barbershop sound and drawing on funk, rock, jazz, and blues, 42Five recreates an entire instrumental band with only their five voices.

From Elvis's 1956 remake of the R&B classic "Hound Dog" to '70s disco tunes such as "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees or '80s dance-pop/R&B hits like Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean," you simply have to hear it to believe it.

"When you leave a 42Five show, we want you to have experienced the impossible, the imaginative, and the hilarious," says Earl Elkins, High Tenor.

This incredible concert of "music without music" has universal appeal.

"The group got its start as a street corner act, so our foundation is really tight harmonies, really great music, and connecting with people," says Layne Stein, Vocal Percussion.
