Nazareth College Names John Drain of Plymouth Meeting, PA to Board of Trustees

ROCHESTER, NY (04/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College is pleased to announce that John Drain '84 is the newest member of the College's board of trustees. Drain has served as the Senior Vice President, Finance, of Hearst Television, Inc. located in New York City since 2010. Hearst Television, Inc. comprises 29 television stations, and two radio stations, in geographically diverse U.S. markets. The Company's television stations reach approximately 18% of U.S. TV households, making it one of the largest U.S. television station groups. The Company owns 13 ABC affiliated stations and 10 NBC affiliates, and among both networks' largest affiliate owners; and it owns two CBS affiliates.

Prior to joining Hearst Television, Drain served as Chief Operating Officer for Ultimark Products, and as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration for Comcast Spotlight, a division of Comcast Cable Communications. A certified public accountant, Drain gained extensive experience in media and broadcasting while serving in senior executive financial positions with USA.Net, Sporting News Radio Network, New World Television, and Hughes Broadcasting Partners. Drain is a 1983 graduate of Nazareth College who holds a BS degree in business administration and accounting. John was honored by Nazareth's School of Management (SOM) with the 2012 SOM Alumni Award. He also holds an MBA degree in managerial accounting from Pace University.

Drain and his wife, Dena, reside in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Dena Drain is an alumna of Nazareth who graduated in 1984 with a BS degree in business administration.
