Nazareth College and St. John Fisher Team Up for MLK Jr. Day of Service, Friday, Jan. 20

ROCHESTER, NY (01/18/2012)(readMedia)-- WHAT: Nazareth and St. John Fisher Colleges are teaming up for an afternoon of service projects celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary and middle school students from the city of Rochester will visit the Nazareth campus for the theatrical re-telling of the "I have a Dream" speech by Dr. David Anderson, Chairman of the Rochester-Monroe County Freedom Trail Commission and a teacher of African American Studies at Nazareth. Following his presentation, Nazareth and Fisher students will lead Rochester City School District students in a scavenger hunt and campus tour.The aims of the events are to educate and inspire through the words of Dr. King and to encourage participants to explorer higher education.
