TROY, NY (08/23/2011)(readMedia)-- People attending the Tri-City Valley Cats game at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Aug. 25 will be able to learn more about the New York Army National Guard, take part in giveaways and climb a rock wall if they stop by the recruiting table at the stadium.
Members of the media looking for a different kind of game story are invited to stop by and talk to members of the Army National Guard about their role as Citizen Soldiers.

Background:
The New York Army National Guard, with a membership of about 10,500 Soldiers, is currently at 100 percent strength. National Guard Recruiters, though, are continually seeking new Soldiers to fill job education opportunities available in units across the state.
Throughout the summer months New York Army National Guard recruiters will be manning booths at county fairs to let the public and potential Soldiers know more about the force.
