New York Army National Guard UH-60 helicopters training in Cooperstown area Saturday

COOPERSTOWN, NY (03/02/2018) (readMedia)-- Four New York Army National Guard UH-60 helicopters will be conducting training in the Cooperstown area on the afternoon and evening of Saturday March 3.

The Blackhawk helicopters are assigned to Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion 142nd Aviation which is based at Albany International Airport.

The aircraft will be training with members of the United States Army Reserve's Charlie Company, 403rd Civil Affairs Battalion. The Civil Affairs Soldiers will be conducting air assault training. The unit is based in Utica.

The UH-60s will be operating in the vicinity of Bassett Health Center and will be using the helipad there to conduct training in entering and exiting the aircraft with the Army Reserve Soldiers. The aircraft will also be operating in the area to the east of Otsego Lake.
