New York City's Largest Grocery Workers Union Endorses Francisco Moya (D-Corona) for New York State Assembly
QUEENS VILLAGE, NY (05/14/2010)(readMedia)-- United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1500, New York City's largest Labor Union representing supermarket workers, has announced its endorsement of Francisco Moya (D-Corona) for New York State Assembly in the 39th Assembly District in Queens.
"Over the last several weeks Francisco Moya has made the case as to how, as the next State Assembly Member from the 39th Assembly District in Queens, he would pursue a progressive agenda that would benefit UFCW Local 1500's members that reside in that district. Supermarket development in low income communities, the expansion of the Food Stamp Program, responsible development and the battle to hold Wal-mart accountable for its irresponsible business practices are all issues supported by Francisco Moya.
