BRONX NY (04/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Members of the New York National Guard will provide a drug demand reduction education program to approximately 70 children at Marble Hill Community Center on Wednesday, April 11.
WHO: New York Counterdrug Task Force members Staff Sgt. Jamie Soto, Sgt. Alex Sanay, and Airman 1st Class Dwayne Morgan.
WHAT: A Rockwall Challenge program experiential learning opportunity for kids aged seven and older. The youth participate in a 45 minute interactive classroom session with an instructor on goal setting, life challenges and healthy choices. The student are taught how to apply these concepts while climbing a portable rock wall which will be on site.
WHEN: noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11

Background:
The New York Counterdrug Task Force is composed of about 120 New York Army and Air National Guard members. Some members work directly in assisting law civilian law enforcement working to stem drug traffic. Task force members also provide educational programs aimed at helping educate kids in schools and at community settings across New York.
