Newburgh Residents to Host Community Jobs Forum

Forum will get feedback from residents as Newburgh Builds Newburgh begins to place residents into available jobs

NEWBURGH, NY (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Members of Community Voices Heard along with Workforce Development Institute will host a forum tonight to increase community engagement in the Newburgh Builds Newburgh program, which is designed to help address Newburgh's staggering unemployment and underemployment.

The program recently completed its Phase One "assessment/ gap analysis" and is now moving into Phase Two, when it begins to actually match residents with jobs.

WHO:

Community residents, Members of Community Voices Heard, and Workforce Development Institute

WHAT:

The forum will provide an opportunity for community members to share their experiences as to what the impediments are to employment so that the program can begin to address those needs.
