PEF President To Testify about the Olmstead Decision

SUFFERN, NY (08/11/2014)(readMedia)-- Susan M. Kent, president of the New York State Public Employees Federation, will be testifying today at a legislative hearing held by state Sen. David Carlucci and Assembly Member Eileen Gunther to discuss how the U.S. Supreme Court's Olmstead Decision is affecting services to people with developmental disabilities in New York.

WHO:

Leaders of the New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) will be testifying about the role of PEF members who work with people with developmental disabilities and the level of care they need and deserve.
WHAT:

A Legislative hearing held by Sen. David Carlucci and Assembly Member Eileen Gunther to discuss how the U.S. Supreme Court's Olmstead Decision is affecting people with developmental disabilities in New York. Leaders from the Public Employees Federation will testify about the vital role of state employees who care for people with developmental disabilities.
