PEF leaders to deliver "State of the State Worker" address

Press conference to be held on March 1 at 1230pm inside the State Capitol building

ALBANY, NY (02/27/2023) (readMedia)-- ALBANY, N.Y. – New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) President Wayne Spence will deliver 10,000 petitions from New Yorkers to their elected leaders, demanding they "Fund Our Future" by reinvesting in the public services New Yorkers need to thrive. He will discuss the impact of the Governor's proposed budget on the state's essential workers, including short staffing, privatization and contracting out state services, and what can be done to bolster the state workforce. PEF represents 50,000 Professional, Scientific, and Technical state employees in 3,000 titles across New York State.

PEF President Wayne Spence and Vice President Randi DiAntonio will be joined by Sen. Robert Jackson (SD-31), chair of the Civil Service & Pensions Committee, along with other State lawmakers and PEF members from the Capital Region.
