ALBANY, NY (06/10/2025) (readMedia)-- The New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) will host its third annual Community Wellness Fair and Book Giveaway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Albany Armory. The event allows members of the community to interact with dozens of vendors who offer state and county services catering to New York families, as well as select from 20,000 free books provided by the American Federation of Teachers' "Reading Opens the World" program. PEF President Wayne Spence, Albany County Executive Dan McCoy, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, Assemblymember Gabriella Romero, and Assemblymember John McDonald will offer brief remarks at 9:15 in front of the stage.
