POSTPONED - Girl Scouts to Deliver Thousands of Cookies to Military Personnel

DUE TO LOGISTICAL ISSUES WITH THE RECEIVING ORGANIZATION IN HARTFORD, THIS ACTIVITY NEEDS TO BE RESCHEDULED. A NEW DATE IS PENDING.

During the Girl Scout Cookie Sale which took place in Northeastern New York from mid-January 2013 to mid-April 2013, 9200 boxes of cookies were purchased by customers throughout the 15 counties of Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York for donation to members of the military. The program is called "Council Gift of Caring." Girl Scouts will be on hand on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 3:15pm at the Girl Scout Queensbury, NY Service Center and join a retired Navy Seal to load a large truck with the cookies. After a stop on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 8:00am at the Girl Scout Service Center in Albany, NY for more cookies to be loaded, the truck will then travel to Hartford, CT to reach a distribution center where the cookies can make their way to military personnel and their families.
