PPI Forum Tomorrow: Municipal Finances: Close to the Cliff?

The Public Policy Institute of New York State, Inc., (PPI) is a research and educational organization whose purpose is to formulate and promote public policies that will restore New York's economic competitiveness.

Join The Public Policy Institute of New York State for a forum on the current state of municipal financials that will help define the problems facing municipal finances, the forces behind them, and possible solutions. You will hear from policy experts and key stakeholders who have a front-row seat to the challenges facing local governments.

• The Forum will start at 10:00 a.m. and conclude by 12:00 noon.

Security

• Photo ID required by State Police to enter the LOB and Capitol. Please do not bring pocket knives, scissors, or other sharp objects.

Directions

• From the North: Take I-87 (Northway) to Interstate I-90 East (exit #1E). Take I-90 East to I-787 South. Take Exit #3A for the Empire State Plaza.

• From the South: Take New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) to Exit 23 - straight through Toll Booth to I-787. Take Exit #3 for the Empire State Plaza.

• From the East: Take I-90 West to Exit #B1 (I-90). Continue on I-90 to I-787 South. Follow I-787 South to Exit #3A for the Empire State Plaza.

• From the West: Take I-90 East to Exit 24 (Albany), proceed east on I-90 to I-787 South. Take Exit #3A for the Empire State Plaza.

Parking V LOT (P-3 North)

• Located beneath the Empire State Plaza and accessed from the I-787 Connector off the I-787 Empire State Plaza Exit.

• Visitors are required to show photo identification upon entry and all vehicles are subject to search by the State Police.

• 6:00 a.m. – 3:59 p.m: $2.00 per hour, $20.00 maximum, Handicap parking available, no oversized vehicles
