LOS LUNAS, NM (04/12/2011)(readMedia)-- Peter Rechkemmer, an immigration service officer, will be the featured speaker at a Citizenship Information Workshop set for April 19 on the UNM-Valencia Campus.
Rechkemmer, who is with the Albuquerque office of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Office, will discuss the application process, the costs and the eligibility requirements for U.S. citizenship during the workshop. The workshop will be hosted by the UNM-Valencia Adult Education Center, and the workshop will be held in the Learning Resource Center, room 101C, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Other topics to be discussed include the Child Citizenship Act, which allows children who are born outside of the U.S. to receive a certificate of citizenship. The workshop will also include a question-and-answer session that will immediately follow the presentation.
The UNM-Valencia Adult Education Center is asking those interested in attending to please pre-register by calling 925-8900. This workshop is free and open to the general public.
