SPRINGFIELD, IL (11/07/2013)(readMedia)-- Charles L. Shaw of Petersburg, Ill., with the Illinois National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters in Springfield, Ill., was promoted to the rank of major Nov. 7 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield.

Shaw is the commercial transportation officer at Camp Lincoln in Springfield and has 17 years of enlisted and commissioned service in the military.

He is married to Melinda Shaw and together they have three children, Wynne, Izaak, and Charlie.
