Photo Opportunity/Media Advisory - State Fair's 2012 Commemorative Art to be Unveiled This Wednesday, June 6

ST. PAUL, MINN. (06/04/2012)(readMedia)-- What?: See the Minnesota State Fair?s 2012 Official Commemorative Art for the very first time as artist Joe Heffron unveils it on the fairgrounds.

Who?: St. Paul artist Joe Heffron was chosen to create the 2012 Official Commemorative Art from nearly 50 applicants in the State Fair?s second commemorative art call for submissions. The original piece captures the Great Minnesota Get-Together with whimsical realism. His artwork showcases iconic elements of the fair with rich, vibrant colors.

The 2012 Official Commemorative Art is the ninth in a series of annual artwork created exclusively for the State Fair. The commemorative poster, a limited number of signed prints and other merchandise will be available for purchase after the unveiling at msffoundation.org.
