Price Chopper Hosts Fundraising Party on Eve of Its Grand Opening

Price Chopper Opens A Food & Pharmacy Store in Windsor, CT

SCHENECTADY, NY (08/16/2007)(readMedia)-- President and CEO, Neil Golub, will be hosting a fundraising party for three local Windsor nonprofits – Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, First Town Downtown, and Windsor Education Foundation. Joining Neil Golub will be developers, Harry Freeman & Dan Lynch, along with Windsor’s Town Supervisor, Peter Souza, Mayor Donald Trinks, and other town & state officials. The public is asked to make a $5 per person donation at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Price Chopper is matching all monies raised up to $1,500. A check presentation will be made at 6:45pm.

A $250 Price Chopper gift certificate will be given away to one lucky resident at the fundraiser.

On Tuesday, August 21st at 8:30am, there will be a flag raising by the CT. Army National Guard, accompanied by the VFW, American Legion and DAV. National Anthem, sung by Karen Resch. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held immediately following to officially celebrate the grand opening of the new 64,000 sq. ft. Price Chopper Food & Pharmacy. -30-
