On Sunday, July 12 from 10am-4pm, the Price Chopper on Altamont Avenue in Schenectady will host a Pet Day. And best of all - Pets are welcome! To maintain safety and control, all pets must be restrained and will not be allowed in the store.
IAMS will be providing free, to all pet lovers, pet food samples in packaging that doubles as a case for a pet's medical records. Also, provided by IAMS, will be a free raffle to win a year's supply of either dog or cat food.
The Animal Protective Foundation, Capital District Humane Association, Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, Peppertree Rescue and Waggin' Tails Pet Rescue will be on hand offering dog and cat adoptions, micro chipping and volunteer signup forms.
Price Chopper is conducting a Pet Drive for much needed pet items, such as food, cat litter, pet toys, cleaning supplies, and shampoos. Visit Price Chopper all this week through Pet Day and make a donation to the pet drive.
A certified dog trainer from Paw It Forward will be available for questions and answers, training tips, and information regarding dog training classes.
Classy Canines will be on hand to provide a "how to" on clipping dogs nails, grooming tips, and information on flea and tick season.
From 11-3pm, Dave The Magnet Man Freedman will provide a FREE customized photo magnet with a photo of you and your pet.
