ALBANY, NY (06/13/2007)(readMedia)-- Capital Communications Federal Credit Union (CCFCU) is pleased to announce that it has secured the naming rights of the 810 WGY broadcast studios. The newly named, state-of-the-art Capital Communications Federal Credit Union Studios are located at the WGY broadcast center in Latham.

“WGY and Capital Communications Federal Credit Union are two long-standing institutions that make up the community fabric of the Capital District. We are pleased to partner with WGY, the premier news and information radio station in the region,” said Paula Stopera, President and CEO of CCFCU.

"The commitment of Capital Communications Federal Credit Union to serving their members and WGY's dedication to serving our listeners makes this a natural partnership. We are very excited to embark on this endeavor," said Kristen Delaney, Vice President/Market Manager, Clear Channel Albany.

Capital Communications Federal Credit Union is currently the second largest credit union headquartered in the Capital Region. CCFCU has over $540 million in assets and more than 53,000 members. Since 2003, Capital Communications has been rated the top credit union in the country for member service in a survey conducted by the Raddon Financial Group. In addition, The Business Review has named Capital Communications a “Great Place to Work” for the past three years.

WGY was New York State's first radio station and is one of the nation's oldest. Since its sign-on in 1922, WGY has been a primary source for news, weather and information for generations of Capital District residents. The station is part of Clear Channel Communications and moved to its new broadcast facility at Riverhill Center in 2005.
