Rank the Vote Encourages New Yorkers To Rank Their Vote in the June Primary!

NEW YORK, NY (06/02/2023) (readMedia)-- Today, Members of Rank the Vote NYC, including Common Cause/NY, the New York Immigration, Chinese-American Planning Council, Center for Law & Social Justice at Medgar Evers College and others, will join together to remind New Yorkers they can rank their top five candidates in the upcoming June primary city council elections.

In 2021, over 1 million voters used ranked choice voting for the first time in New York City. According to exit polling, 95% of voters found RCV easy to use, and 83% of voters ranked at least two candidates on their ballot.
