Reidy Named NCCAA DII Player of the Week

CLEARWATER, FL (04/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Cougar shortstop Jake Reidy was named as the NCCAA DII Player of the Week for leading Clearwater Christian College to two victories last week over NCAA DII Eckerd College (9-5) and #1 ranked NCCAA DII Toccoa Falls College (5-3). Over these two games, Reidy batted .385 (5-13), scored four times, collected six RBI's, hit two home runs, drew three walks and had an on-base percentage of .500 (8-16). Reidy's big performance came with the Cougar's 5-3 win over Toccoa Falls College where he went 3-3, hit his two home runs, scored twice, and collected all five of the game's RBI's.
Reidy is a graduate of Chiefland High School in Chiefland, FL, and a junior at Clearwater Christian College majoring in Exercise & Sport Science. He is the son of Patrick and Kamala Reidy, also of Chiefland.
