Restaurants Create Culinary Delights with Girl Scout Cookies

ALBANY, NY (04/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Capital Region restaurants have been challenged to create sweet or savory recipes featuring Girl Scout Cookies as a key ingredient for Girl Scout Cookie Cuisine to be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 6pm-9pm at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Latham. Featured restaurants include: dp: An American Brasserie, Yono's, Sperry's, Yanni's II, 333 Café, Garden Bistro 24, On Tap, Lake Ridge Restaurant, Zachary's Pastry Shoppe, and Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (a division of Hudson Valley Community College). Donna and Yono Purnomo serve as Honorary Chairs. Celebrity judges: Chad O'Hara-B95.5, Lydia Kulbida- News 10 ABC, Chef Dale Miller-a Cookie Cuisine founding chef, and JoAnne DeMarco-Select Sotheby's International Realty, will sample and award recognition for Most Creative Use of a Cookie and Best Overall Recipe. Guests are invited to sample all the recipes and participate in voting categories for best entrée, best appetizer and best dessert. Event will include a silent auction & live music. Tickets are $25 in advance/$30 at the door and $20 for children (ages 14 and under). All proceeds benefit Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York.
