ROCHESTER, NY (12/05/2017) Get ready to experience a new twist on your favorite holiday melodies with the addition of rapid-fire tap as the Nazareth College Arts Center presents Rhythmic Circus: Red and Green, Friday, December 8, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Callahan Theatre.

The four world-renowned dancers of Rhythmic Circus and their swingin' seven-piece band return to the Arts Center with festive originals and Christmas classics, including an imaginative beatboxing rendition of "The Grinch," a full-cast performance of "Linus and Lucy" (A Charlie Brown Christmas), five new originals, and a bright mash-up medley titled "Toy Soldier March." This march is a highlight of the show as dancers and musicians adorned in colorful soldier attire perform a syncopated percussive dance sequence at eye-popping speeds. Along with the group's festive display in this performance, Heat Box, the human beat box, presents his own version of "Mr. Grinch." The song originates from the book and television special How The Grinch Stole Christmas! and adds the perfect twist to complete this upbeat, holiday show.

"We are excited to welcome Rhythmic Circus back to the Arts Center for their all-new holiday show," said Rita Mannelli, executive director of the Nazareth College Arts Center. "We programmed this show for 7 p.m. so that families can attend together!"

With their joyous music and percussive tap, it's easy to see why this wildly creative troupe-led by artistic director Ricci Milan and executive director Nick Bowman-has had audiences from the Kennedy Center to the Edinburgh Festival jumping out of their seats. Rhythmic Circus returns to the Nazareth College Arts Center following their popular performance of Feet Don't Fail Me Now! in 2016. Now an international sensation, the company's brilliance is proven by rave reviews, sold-out high-octane performances, and numerous awards-including two Sage Awards for Outstanding Ensemble and Performance, the Spirit of the Fringe Award (the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's top theatrical award), two Upper Midwest Emmys, and more. Rhythmic Circus: Red and Green brings the joy of the holiday back to life once again in this new holiday spectacular!
