SPRINGFIELD, IL (05/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Lt. Col. Drew Dukett of Roodhouse, took command of the 108th Sustainment Brigade in a change of command ceremony May 6 at the North Kedzie Armory in Chicago.

Dukett takes the reins from Col. Michael Zerbonia of Chatham, who served as the brigade commander since 2009. Zerbonia's next assignment will be commander of the Bilateral Embedded Staff Team A10 scheduled to deploy this fall in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Dukett enlisted to the active duty Army in 1980, later joining the Illinois Army National Guard in 1985 and commissioning as a second lieutenant in 1990 through Officer Candidate School at Camp Lincoln. Dukett has served overseas in Germany and Korea and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2010.
