Sam Connelly of Alexandria to appear in PLAYBOY

SAVANNAH, GA (07/08/2011)(readMedia)-- Sam Connelly of Alexandria, a 2007 graduate of Thomas Edison High School and a 2011 illustration graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, will be featured in the August 2011 issue of PLAYBOY Magazine with a full-page illustration of his work.

Connelly's artwork will accompany a short story written by author Chuck Palahniuk, best known for the award-winning novel "Fight Club," which was later made into a film starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter.

Since graduating from SCAD, Connelly has been in great demand. He has a solo show of his work at the Spoke Art gallery in San Francisco this fall, his work was recently featured by Communication Arts Magazine, the largest creative print and on-line magazine in the world, he has a limited-edition poster being published by 1200 Posters, and he continues to operate his on-line website, www.samwolfeconnelly.com, where he sells one-of-a-kind hand-drawn shoes.
