Kick-Off to Construction Event

Current Site of Heritage Square (West Dan Patch & Griggs Avenues)

Parking is available on surrounding streets or in the Mighty Midway lot.

Join us to kick-off construction of a new one-of-a-kind destination on the west end of the State Fairgrounds.

This area will be a welcoming neighborhood of sights and sounds; a home for artisans, craftspeople, specialty merchants and stellar food and beverage options; an experience that brings the State Fair's rich history to life; and a gathering place for intimate sets of music and entertainment.

At this kick-off event, we will:

• Unveil architectural and building plans
• Announce the area's name, which will be selected from entries submitted via a social media contest held in early October
• Hear from:
  • State Fair General Manager Jerry Hammer
  • A Lead Architect with Cuningham Group
  • State Fair Foundation Communications Manager Jesse Poppe
  • Featured NEW food vendors coming to the venue
  • A current Heritage Square vendor returning to the new space
