Save the Date! Princess Party for Children & Families of Iowa

Princess party will make dreams come true for children in need.

DES MOINES, IA (09/18/2009)(readMedia)-- Save the date! On Saturday, October 3, get ready for lots of pink, princesses and making dreams come true for hundreds of families in central Iowa.

That day, the first ever Princess Party, presented by Panera Bread will take place outside Panera's Jordan Creek store from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The Princess Party is the first of its kind in central Iowa. "Really, it's about helping dreams come true," says Event Manager, Susan Joynt. "Some little girls dream about castles and unicorns, but some just dream about a safe place to sleep at night. This event is a chance for families to help children who need a little hope in their lives."

The Party is geared toward little princesses of all ages. Activities include an opportunity to meet princesses, get autographs, princess crafts, glamour makeovers, breakfast and games. After the party, princesses can gather for a special 10 a.m. screening of Enchanted at the Century 20 Jordan Creek theatres. All the proceeds from the event will benefit Children & Families of Iowa.

Tickets are $25 for one adult and one child. Additional tickets can be purchased for $10 each; there is a limit of six people per party. Some activities, including the movie, glamour packages and photos with the princesses, cost an additional $3 per activity. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cfiowa.org or by calling 515-288-1981, ext. 1710. Tickets are limited.
