ALBANY, NY (09/12/2007)(readMedia)-- On Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at 6:45 PM, at the West Islip Public Library, Room A, the South Suffolk Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) will present “Meet the Candidates” Night.
Suffolk County candidates at all levels, from all political parties are invited to come and answer questions on NOW’s six major issues: reproductive rights; gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender rights; stopping violence against women; ending racism; an Equal Rights Amendment; and economic justice for women.
The National Organization for Women is the largest women's rights organization in the United States, comprised of over 1/2 million contributing members. The mission of NOW is to achieve full equality for women.
