Southern California University of Health Sciences Faculty and Students to Present at ACC-RAC 2009
WHITTIER, CA (12/05/2008)(readMedia)-- Faculty and students of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) have been accepted as presenters at the 2009 Association of Chiropractic Colleges Research Agenda Conference (ACC-RAC 2009).
ACC-RAC is one of the leading scientific and educational conferences in chiropractic. This upcoming event will take place March 12-14, 2009 in Las Vegas, and will focus on the theme of 'innovations'.
At the educational topics session, SCU faculty members Kevin Rose and Mike Sackett will present, 'Preceptor Doctors' Perception of the Skills of Chiropractic Interns'.
At the scientific contributed poster session, SCU faculty and students will make three presentations. Emile Goubran, Jonathan Carlos, and Samir Ayad will present, 'A Split Anterior Scalene Muscle: A Case Report'. Gene Tobias, Anupama KizhakkeVeettil, and David Sikorski will present, 'Development of Students' Scholarship Skills'. Daniel Bronstein, Jake Simmons, and Shari Wynd will present, 'Chiropractic Care in the Treatment of Diabetic Neuropathies: A Systematic Review'.
At SCU, Emile Goubran, Kevin Rose, David Sikorski, and Gene Tobias are Professors; Samir Ayad is an Associate Professor; Jonathan Carlos and Shari Wynd are Assistant Professors; Mike Sackett is Chief of Staff; Anupama KizhakkeVeettil is Research Coordinator; and Daniel Bronstein and Jake Simmons are students.
ACC-RAC 2009 is the combined collaboration between the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) meeting, which emphasizes educational structure, administration, and teaching, and the Research Agenda Conference (RAC), which focuses on the development of scientific knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The combination of the two programs continues to enhance and nurture the natural relationship between chiropractic scholarship and education.
Southern California University of Health Sciences incorporates the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, the School of Professional Studies, and the University Health Centers.
