Southern California University of Health Sciences Welcomes Largest Incoming Class in Three Years

WHITTIER, CA (09/22/2009)(readMedia)-- Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) welcomes its fall 2009 matriculating students. This group consists of 69 students enrolled in the doctor of chiropractic (DC) program, 25 students enrolled in the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) program, and 19 students enrolled in the dual degree (combined DC/AOM) program.

The total number of incoming students in this cohort is the highest since 2006, and represents a 24% increase over the fall 2008 count and 41% increase over fall 2007 count.

Interim President Dr. John Scaringe expresses his delight in greeting the incoming students, "I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new students and am pleased that they chose our school for their integrative healthcare education. We are fully committed to providing them with an exceptional learning experience and preparing them to become skilled and successful practitioners."

Southern California University of Health Sciences incorporates the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, the School of Professional Studies, and the University Health Center.
