State Fair's 2014 Commemorative Art to be Unveiled at 11 a.m. Today

ST. PAUL, MINN. (06/04/2014)(readMedia)-- See the Minnesota State Fair?s 2014 Official Commemorative Art for the very first time as artist Emily L. Taylor unveils it on the fairgrounds this morning.

What?: The 2014 Official Commemorative Art is the 11th in a series of annual artwork created exclusively for the State Fair. The commemorative poster, a limited number of signed prints and other merchandise will be available for purchase after the unveiling at msffoundation.org.

Who?: St. Paul artist Emily L. Taylor's watercolor interpretation of the Minnesota State Fair illustrates the stories of those who gather each year for The Great Minnesota Get-Together. Living just blocks away from the fairgrounds, Taylor shows a quirky perspective and playful representations of Minnesota's people, crops, animals and landmarks.

Taylor was born in Minneapolis and graduated from South High School. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Taylor is now a professional artist and teacher.

When?: 11 a.m. TODAY Wednesday, June 4

Where?: J.V. Bailey House, 1263 Cosgrove St., Minnesota State Fairgrounds, just south of the Space Tower (outdoors – weather permitting)
