Statement by NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento on Supreme Court Affordable Care Act Decision

ALBANY, NY (06/28/2012)(readMedia)-- The Supreme Court confirmed what we all knew: opposition to health care reform was about politics and maintaining the status quo. By expanding access to health care and reducing system costs, the Affordable Care Act finally puts patients over corporate profits. Now with this behind us, the labor movement looks forward to working with leaders at the state and federal level to make further reforms to improve access to quality patient care.
