DES MOINES, IA (06/12/2025) (readMedia)-- Des Moines, IA – The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation invites you to "Stir It Up" at the 2025 Corndog Kickoff Benefit Auction and Fair Food Grazing Party on Saturday, July 12. This year's fundraising event will celebrate the competitive Iowa State Fair food department. With your support, we'll ensure that cherished Fair traditions – like the beloved ugly cake contest – continue to delight Fairgoers for years to come.

Hosted in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds, the event will feature a wide variety of irresistible Iowa State Fair foods and auction packages that range anywhere from mouth-watering homemade pies to a seven-night stay at Marriott's Grande Ocean Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation's mission is to raise funds for improvements of the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds. Since 1997, the Corndog Kickoff has been a vital ingredient in the recipe for the Iowa State Fair's success. With your generosity, we can fund vital improvements in 2025 including renovating 100-year-old livestock barns, installing state-of-the-art sound equipment and creating an all-inclusive playground for everyone to enjoy.

Your participation in the Corndog Kickoff will help ensure that the Fairgrounds remain a source of Iowa pride for generations to come. Enjoy fair food favorites, bid for exciting auction packages and make memories that will last a lifetime before the Fair even begins! The event will also offer a Mystery Prize Game, a classic bake sale and a wine pull. You are the only missing ingredient in our effort to stir up a prize-winning event and raise funds for future improvements to our beloved Fairgrounds.

Corndog Kickoff tickets are $100 per person and will increase to $125 on July 1. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.blueribbonfoundation.org, by calling the Foundation at 515-262-3111 Ext. 371 or at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
