ALBANY, NY (04/12/2013)(readMedia)-- The Girl Expo "Strong is the New Pretty" is a free event that will provide an opportunity for girls (grade 6-12) to participate in fun activities and workshops. Girls will have the chance to examine ideas on strengthening their self-development and leadership skills along with creating a confident view on self-esteem, media and personal relationships. Additionally, Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York will be a resource for girls to learn about all of the exciting programs and events happening with Girl Scouts.

 Sampler program event for girls grades 6-12 to experience the Girl Scout leadership experience through activities and fun.

2:30-3:00pm Jamz (96.3) Kick-off

3:00-3:30pm Conversation with Sil Lai Abrams of TruthinReality.org

3:30-6:00pm Fun Workshops and activities such as:  Beauty Inside & Out, From 1st Impressions to Lasting Impressions, Global Advocacy, and more!
