TLC's "What Not to Wear" Features Minnesota State Fair

ST. PAUL, MINN. (12/06/2011)(readMedia)-- "What Not to Wear," TLC's popular national cable television program, will air a new episode featuring the Minnesota State Fairgrounds as its set for the makeover ambush of a Twin Cities woman. A mid-August taping took place at the fairgrounds just before the 2011 State Fair opened. The episode premieres on TLC locally at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13.

"What Not to Wear" draws on the personality and talent of fashion experts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly to revamp participants' wardrobes, hair and makeup. The Minnesota State Fair episode includes London and Kelly taking a ride on the Giant Slide and ambushing unsuspecting State Fair fan Tenessa in the Agriculture Horticulture Building.

A crop art portrait of London and Kelly is also unveiled during the episode. Created for the show by crop artist Sandra Fjerkenstad-Budel of St. Paul, the artwork went on to win third place in the fair's Special Occasion-Amateur Crop Art category, was on display during the 2011 fair, and now hangs in the New York offices of the production company for "What Not to Wear."

The film crew also spent a day shooting footage during the 2011 Great Minnesota Get-Together to air during the program.
