The Albany Academies Announces New Hire

Heather Dolin tapped to head up special events at newly merged school

ALBANY, NY (11/05/2007)(readMedia)-- The Albany Academies is pleased to announce the addition of Heather Dolin as Development Associate in the Institutional Advancement Office.

Dolin will assist with a variety of fundraising initiatives, including fund drives for parents, alumni/ae, parents of alumni/ae, grandparents and friends of the Academies. She will also spearhead special events such as the annual spring gala benefit, cultivation events, and other gatherings and occasions.

A New Scotland resident, Dolin received a bachelor’s degree in Classics from Wesleyan University. She worked at the Guggenheim Museum in the Department of Special Events before moving to California to study photography.

She then began working in the film industry for Industrial Light & Magic, a division of Lucas Digital. Most recently, she managed the corporate finances for Asylum Visual Effects in Santa Monica, CA, a film production company specializing in digital effects for major motion pictures.
