Albany Academy for Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Hoosick Falls High School at Broadalbin-Perth High School – Sectional playoffs

WHEN: Boys Varsity Soccer – today, November 1, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Girls Varsity Soccer – today, November 1, 2007 at 6 p.m.

WHERE: Boys Varsity Soccer will be playing at Queensbury High School, 409 Aviation Road, Queensbury. Girls Varsity Soccer will be playing at Broadalbin-Perth High School, 100 Bridge Street, Broadalbin.

The Albany Academy Boys Varsity Soccer and Albany Academy for Girls Varsity Soccer teams will be competing in Sectional playoff matches today.

Boys Varsity Soccer, led by Coach John Hofgesang, defeated Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons 5-1 this past Monday, October 29 in a Sectional playoff game. The team will face Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School at Queensbury High School, 409 Aviation Road in Queensbury today at 2:30 p.m.

Girls Varsity Soccer, led by Coach Greg Giambetti, won a nailbiter this past Tuesday, October 30 against Mayfield High School in a Sectional playoff game. The score was 2-2 at the end of the regulation period, 3-3 at the end of overtime and 3-1 in the shootout. The team will face Hoosick Falls High School at Broadalbin-Perth High School, 100 Bridge Street in Broadalbin today at 6 p.m.
