The Business Council endorses 20 in State Senate races

ALBANY, NY (10/25/2012)(readMedia)-- The Business Council of New York State, Inc. is endorsing a slate of candidates in races for the New York State Senate.

"These candidates have demonstrated a commitment to a pro-jobs agenda that will continue to lower taxes and reduce the cost of doing business in New York," said Heather Briccetti, president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State. "To put our state on the path to recovery we must lower the tax burden on New York's employers. These candidates understand that."

All of these candidates support the Business Council's economic reform agenda which includes: the enactment of a property tax cap; mandate relief and tax reform; public employee pension reforms and limiting government borrowing.

The endorsed candidates are:

Incumbent candidates had a positive voting record on the Business Council's 2012 Voters' Guide for their votes in the Senate.

The 2012 Voters' Guide, measures New York State legislators' commitment to promoting fiscal reform and improving the state's economic climate by scoring their votes on key legislation during the 2012 session.

This endorsement comes through the Business Council's Political Action Committee.
