ALBANY, NY (02/28/2013)(readMedia)-- In a first for The Business Council of New York State, Inc., the state's leading business advocacy group will begin webcasting its Technology Roundtable series for people outside the Capital Region. Social Media giant Facebook, Microsoft and leading edge communication company, Verizon, are sponsoring the event being held in Albany, Wednesday, March 20, 2013. The featured guest will be Allyson Knox, director of education policy and programs for Microsoft Corporation.
Discussion will center on what innovative companies such as Microsoft are doing to promote STEM training and what their experience has been in this emerging area in the field of education.
The Technology Roundtable is a luncheon seminar series that serves as a central resource for our members and the greater technology sector in New York for news on state and federal policies, events and other industry developments. Each meeting will feature a speaker on a topic of interest as well as industry updates, and an open discussion forum.
Registration fees for the webcast are $35 for Business Council members, $45 for future members, or at a series discounted price - five events for the price of four - $140 for members, $180 for future members.
Though the 21st Century Classroom is the second in The Business Council's series of Technology Roundtables, it will be the first to air as a live webcast for those unable to attend the event in Albany. The webcast represents The Business Council's on-going effort to reach a broader audience about important issues.
